Nonwoven Wound Dressing

OPERSON nonwoven adhesive wound dressing is a sterile post-operative dressing indicated for the management of post-operative wounds and superficial wounds. It consists of soft non-woven fabric coated with one layer of hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive,an absorbent pad with low-adherent wound contact layer and two strips of release paper.

Benefits of Non Woven Wound Dressing:

● Soft non-woven fabric with high breathability

Reduces the risk of maceration. Soft nonwoven fabric allows the dressing to be conformable to all wound sites.

● Highly absorbent pad

Absorbs exudates quickly and helps to protect the wound from further trauma whilst maintaining a good healing environment.

● Low adherent wound contact layer, easy to peel off, no adherence to wound

Minimizes pain when changing or removing and ensures patient comfort.

● Hypoallergenic adhesive

Minimizes the risk of an allergic response. Providing a safe and secure dressing fixation over the wound site, even the more difficult areas like shoulders and axillae.

● Available in different sizes and shapes to meet the clinical needs.



Specification of Non Woven PU Wound Dressing:

Size: 5x7.5cm, 6x8cm, 10x10cm, 10x15cm, 10x20cm, 10x25cm, 10x30cm, 10x35cm, etc

The sizes can be customized.



Indications of Non Woven Wound Dressing:

Nonwoven adhesive wound dressing is indicated for the wounds in the epithelialising phase.

Example Wound Type:

* Minor burns and scalds

* Skin grafts and donor sites

* Clean, closed, post-operative wounds

* All kinds of superficial wound and cosmetic wound

* Chronic wounds with low levels of exudate

Cleanse wound thoroughly. The skin surrounding the wound should be clean and dry.

Dressing size is dependent on the wound surface area- the dressing pad should extend 1-2cm beyond the wound margin.

Open the sterile packaging and remove the dressing. Separate the paper backing from the dressing.

Apply the dressing with central pad covering entire wound. Apply gentle pressure around the edge of pad.

Smooth down the edges or the non-woven border ensuring adherence.

To minimise potential damage to fragile skin, the dressing should be eased off using an adhesive remover wipe.
